Hey Reader!

May is here! Summer is right around the corner and so is my program launch for Hybrid Strength! If you're looking to step into a new summer training program, you can learn all about it here...

But more on that later, let's get to this month's topic!

Going Back to Your Roots

This month let's take a minute to reflect. We're so wrapped up in the present and future plans, we forget to stop and take a look back (especially with the summer ahead!)

I was listening to a podcast this week that made me stop and really think about this...

In fitness, work, & life we're always looking ahead to where we want to be and all we see is the gap between where we are now and where we want to be. Sometimes it can feel huge and overwhelming.

But let's just stop that train of thought for a minute...

Look back at where you started. Think about how far you've already come, how much you've learned & grown, and we can start to give ourselves some grace.

At one point that gap behind us seemed huge & overwhelming but look where you are now!

It's good to get some perspective, remember where you came from, and remember why you started.

Those why's are powerful!

I know I still have lots of growing to do (don't we all!), but I'm so proud of how far I've come! I've been reflecting on why fitness is important to me, and why I started my business in the first place.

I wanted to share that mission with y'all...

My vision is for former female athletes to find an outlet for their athletic drive and foster community where they feel a part of a team. Learning inner confidence that doesn’t come from outward appearance by respecting and listening to their bodies. Building mental and physical strength to conquer not just fitness races, but any adventure life throws their way.

Thanks for coming with me on this journey, let's keep growing together!

Goals for May

Think about your big goals for the next couple months, & let's break those down for just this month. What steps can you take this month that will lead you to those bigger long term goals? (check out January Fit Tips for how to break down big annual goals!)

A few of my goals for the month are...

  • Do 4-5 d/wk of running & metcons to gear up for Deka Fit Austin.
  • Up daily water goal to 72+ oz/day.
  • Actually keep to my bedtime 6 d/wk.
